This year's Robert Friedrichs prize in Sociology was awarded to Eileen Bevis. She also graduated with departmental honors for her sociology thesis, Through the Lens of Social Character: Scrutinizing Recent Concerns About Increasing American Individualism.
Freeden Oeur was awarded
the James Orton prize in Anthropology.
Sarah Arnold '04 will spend part of the summer gathering data for her sociology senior thesis, provisionally entitled Packaging the Past: A Look at Nostalgia and Historical Preservation Through Four New England Outdoor "Living History" Museum Sites.
