The Heidelberg Project

The Heidelberg Project is an outdoor art environment in urban Detroit. Tyree Guyton, founder and artist, first began creating art on the houses of Heidelberg Street 25 years ago to draw attention to the forgotten neighborhoods of Detroit. The Heidelberg Project offers programs for young adults to re-imagine and recreate their environment through art; school programs to supplement declining art education in public schools; lectures; and tours of The Heidelberg Project art environment.
