The Green Chicken Contest -- 2013

On Saturday, November 9th twelve students from Williams trekked to Middlebury to defend the Green Chicken, a formerly unwanted wedding gift but now a beloved trophy housed each year by the winner of the Middlebury - Williams Green Chicken Math Contest. In a hard fought contest, decided only when the last Williams exam was graded, the all frosh/soph Williams group edged out Middlebury 165 to 142. The top four scores from each school are counted; this year's team was Philip Brockman, David Burt, Sam Donow and Ben Kaufman, coached by professors Michael Biro, Ed Hansen, Steven Miller and Mihai Stoiciu. A copy of the exam is available here (solutions here).
