Instruction in design techniques and drafting with an introduction to architectural theory. Simple design problems will be used to help the student explore form and meaning in architecture. There will be five design projects requiring drawings and models. Evaluation will be based on quality of design, with improvement taken into account. Lab fee. Prerequisite: ArtS 100 or ArtS 103. ArtH 101-102 strongly suggested. Enrollment is limited; permission of the instructor is required. Registration does not guarantee admission to the course.
