*DEFINITIONS & NOTES:

 

Anthropology – Students may replace ANTH 101 with an upper level elective.

Biology – Placement depends on department exam results.  Students must obtain a 6 or 7 HL score to be eligible

to take the department exam.

Chemistry – Placement and major course credit depend on department exam results and consultation with the department.

Computer Science – Students should consult with the department to confirm appropriate placement.

Economics – Students receiving a 6 or 7 HL score may place out of ECON 110 and 120.

French – Placement depends on department exam results. 

History –Students receiving a 6 or 7 HL score are strongly encouraged to enroll in a 100-level History seminar or tutorial, or a 200-level survey course. With permission of the instructor they may also enroll in a 300-level advanced topics course.

Physics – Placement depends on HL score, department placement exam results and individual conferences.

Spanish – Placement depends on department exam results.

Theatre – Students should confer with the department chair about proper placement.
