PSYC 242(F,S) Social Psychology

A survey of theory and research in social psychology. Topics include the self, social perception, conformity, attitudes and attitude change, prejudice, aggression, altruism, interpersonal attraction, and intergroup conflict. Special attention is given to applications to political campaigning, advertising, law, business, and health. Format: lecture. Requirements: two hour exams and a final exam. Prerequisites: Psychology 101. Enrollment limit: 55 (expected: 55). Open to first-year students.
