RLIT 101(F)-W088-102(S) Elementary Italian
A year-long course which offers a thorough introduction to basic Italian language skills: understanding, speaking, reading, and writing. The class meets five hours a week; in addition, as part of their preparation, students work with taped materials on a regular basis. Students registered for 101-102 are required to attend and pass the sustaining program during the Winter Study Period. Credit granted only if both semesters are taken. Evaluation will be based on ten chapter tests and a number of unannounced quizzes (60%), regular completion of workbook exercises, lab manual and occasional compositions (15%), and a final exam (25%). Enrollment limited to 25.
