PSYC 221(S) Cognitive Psychology
A survey of the experimental analysis of the mental processes. Topics include memory, visual perception, attention, problem solving, reasoning, language, and unconscious processes. Special emphasis is on the interdisciplinary nature of cognitive psychology, including contributions from computer science, neuroscience, and philosophy. Requirements: a midterm, a final exam, and a short paper. Prerequisite: Psychology 101. Open to first-year students.
