Challah One-Loaf Breadmaker Recipe
Add the following in the order specified in your machine's
instructions:
- 2 cups flour
- 1 t salt
- 1 to 2 T sugar (or honey)
- 1-1/2 t yeast
- 1/2 cup warm water
- 2-1/2 T oil
- 1 egg
You can either let the machine complete the cycle, and wind up with a
regular looking loaf, or take out the dough after the first rising,
shape it, and let it rise in a pan, then bake it in the oven.
