Hurricane Relief and Civil Rights Sojourn: A Journey of Healing
Join a meaningful spring break experience helping to restore
lives and homes in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. The Chaplains are leading
a Journey of Healing Hands and Hearts to work with Habitat for
Humanity. In addition to rebuilding, we will learn from our
spiritual traditions about reaching out toward others.

Message details:
Our days will be filled with hard work to rebuild houses of people who have
been homeless. Our evenings will be filled with learning about our various
spiritual traditions, as we learn Christian, Jewish, and Muslim teachings
about work and service to others. We will meet local residents and learn
about how their lives have been affected by the devastation. Our trip will
culminate with a visit to the Birmingham Civil Rights Museum, as a
reflective mission of healing from all past hate crime experiences. Our
trip is from March 17 - March 24. We will leave to Tuscaloosa in a caravan
from Williams College to fly together and fly back home alone. To apply for
the trip, please visit the Chaplains Office for an application.
Applications are due February 1. See any of the chaplains for more
information. Click on this link for an online application. http://chaplain.williams.edu/information/interfaith-service-team-alternative-spring-break-2013-application-2/
