In an actual emergency the sirens will sound continually as a first step
alerting our campus community of an emergency. The sirens will be
followed by a message sent through our emergency broadcast system. This
system will send voice messages, text messages and email to all students,
faculty and staff. Emergency messages are also sent out via our normal
campus email system.
The emergency broadcast message will always identify the type and location
of the emergency. It will also include preventative measures to take in
order to reduce risk and will include directions for alternate sources of
information during and after the emergency.
In order for Campus Safety and Security to effectively communicate with
members of the college community during an emergency, it is imperative
that we have access to current cell phone numbers. If you have a cell
phone please ensure that your phone information is up to date in the
Peoplesoft system by checking -
