Message details:
The Office of Writing Programs is pleased to present a Winter Study Thesis
Writing Boot Camp. The event will be held on Tuesday, January 22, at The
Log, and will run from 9 am to 5 pm. The Thesis Boot Camp follows the
general model of dissertation boot camps that have become popular at
graduate schools at Yale, Princeton, and Stanford. Here at Williams, our
objective is to provide students working on senior theses with time,
space, food, and support to get work done in a low-stress,
interruption-free environment. Meals and snacks will be provided on-site,
and representatives from the Library and the Office of Writing Programs
will be available for individual consultations throughout the day. For
stress relief in the afternoon, two masseuses will be available to offer
massages for your tense and aching muscles. An artist from Aurora Mehndi
will also be on hand to offer students the warm and soothing experience of
getting a temporary henna tattoo. Space is limited, so registration is
required. To reserve your spot, email sed2@williams.edu by Sunday, January
20.
