Do you like comedy? Curious about Hollywood? Interested in working in entertainment? Join us for How'd You Get There? Young Ephs in Hollywood on Saturday, January 19 at 1:00 p.m. in the Mears Lewis Room at The Career Center. Jesse Gordon '10, Chris Milliken '10 and Isaac Nicholson '11 are visiting from Los Angeles where they are pursuing careers in entertainment. They are eager to share what they have learned with students interested in the industry. Jesse Gordon '10 works as an assistant to television writer John Eisendrath, who has an overall deal with Sony Pictures and wrote for Alias and Beverly Hills: 90210. Jesse can offer insight into working as an assistant to an entertainment writer, working on a studio lot, and the differences between pursuing comedy in NYC and LA. Chris Milliken '10 works as the Writer's Production Assistant on 1600 Penn, a new sitcom airing on NBC starring Jenna Elfman, Bill Pullman, and Josh Gad. Chris can offer insight on connecting professionally through Williams alumni, working with comedy writers as well as teaching in Hong Kong before coming to entertainment. Isaac Nicholson '11 has worked as an intern at two different production companies and as an on-set Production Assistant and is currently pursuing acting-auditioning during the day and working at night. Isaac can offer insight on getting a Hollywood internship, the world of LA auditions, and getting bowling shoes for celebrities. We hope to see you there! Dawn M.
