Message details:
How do we reconcile what religion claims to accomplish with what we see it
accomplish in the world? Has religion ever been, and can it ever be, a
positive force for social change?
Richard Elphick is Co-Chair of the College of Social Studies and Professor
of History at Wesleyan University and has recently published a book on the
misunderstood relationship between Christianity and apartheid in South
Africa. Join fellow students for dinner conversations about religion's
social relevance after Professor Elphick's opening remarks.
This event is co-sponsored by the Gaudino fund, Williams Christian
Fellowship, Williams Catholic, and Muslim Student Association.
