Allan Gonzalez '12

Allan is a native Texan, born and raised in the desert oasis town of El Paso. He has traveled all over Mexico and during his college years, made it a goal to travel to as many places within the United States. After conquering the waters of the Florida Straits, he road-tripped across the Pacific Northwest and explored the rapid land loss of New Orleans, LA. He did so after spending a semester at Williams-Mystic in Mystic, CT.
Allan came to Williams in 2008 where he decided to major in Political Science, with concentrations in Latino/a and Leadership Studies. In his last three summers during his time at Williams, Allan has worked at J.C. Penney & Co. as a sales associate, conducted academic research regarding undocumented immigration and its relation to increased drug trafficking across the US-Mexico border under the Williams College Undergraduate Research Fellowship, and interned at JP Morgan Chase & Co. for the Prime Brokerage and Foreign Exchange client services desk as an operations summer analyst in Chicago, IL. He is currently serving as the Co-President of Williams Catholic and is a baritone singer in the Aristocows Disney A'Capella group.
His personal mantra is, "Work hard, eat right, sleep tight!" Allan is still trying to figure out how to actually practice said mantra while at Williams...

Alex Long '12

Alex is a senior Political Science and Environmental Policy double major, and after spending last fall studying abroad in Vietnam, he is excited to have one more full year in the Purple Valley. At Williams, Alex is a varsity diver and a director of the WRAPS program, a community service organization that delivers the unused surplus from the dining halls at Williams to various food shelters throughout the Berkshires. He has spent his past summers working at a consulting firm in Washington DC, with the International Rescue Committee in Atlanta, and coaching diving. Alex is from Atlanta, Georgia and loves his hometown sports teams and Georgia Tech.

Alex Schulte '12

Alex is a senior History major and participates in the Museum Associates program at WCMA. She is northern-born, but Atlanta-raised, and has the special distinction of being elementary school tic-tac-toe rivals with co-OCC Fellow Alex Long. Alex spent the fall of her junior year abroad in Barcelona, and speaks Spanish (pretty much) fluently, as well as a little bit of Catalan. While abroad, one of the things she loved most was wandering the city and finding hidden architectural treasures off the beaten path—what a great place to be interested in history and art! Alex is very eager to get back to Spain after graduation. When she is not in class or in Sawyer, she can usually be found downing coffee in Goodrich, sitting on the steps of Paresky, or giving a tour at WCMA. Alex has worked in Museum Education, Public Relations, and Marketing and Brand Planning, and eventually hope to pursue a career in Marketing.

Carly Valenzuela '13

Carly is a junior economics major with Africana and maritime studies concentrations. Although her interests stretch across the career spectrum, she is especially interested in education, media, and public service. Her professional experience includes teaching English in Denmark and working as an associate content editor for a non-profit organization in Palo Alto, CA. After graduation Carly hopes to return home to the West Coast to blend her interests in computer science and social entrepreneurship in the workplace.

Meredith Yang '14

Meredith Yang is a rising sophomore from Shanghai. She is potentially majoring in Political Economy or English. At Williams, she is a member of the women’s rugby team and Lehman Council. Williamstown is a complete change of scenery, but she appreciates the beautiful surroundings and the hiking that it encourages. Even though she hasn’t really decided on what she wants to do after college. Meredith is excited to promote the OCC around campus and help others with the career search.

John Noble

Director

John works with students who are undecided about which career path to follow. He also specializes in careers in teaching and education.
