Paul Maley and I were near a town called Kota Tinggi at the southern limit. It's about 3/4 way between Mersing and Singapore. Our expedition was for the International Occultation Timing Association in the continuing study to monitor possible solar radius variations. We had major cloud problems and barely saw annularity through some clouds. The partial phases were mostly clouded out until (of course) after mid eclipse. We were met by a few members of the Astronomical Society of Singapore and their friends (I don't know the club's exact name).
