Welcome to Advanced Applied Linear Algebra!
Greetings. I wanted to take a few minutes to introduce myself. I've posted a brief welcome letter introducing myself, my family and my research interests here.
The purpose of this course is to expose you to advanced topics in linear algebra, with an emphasis on mathematical modeling. In the process we will work on many skills useful for graduate school and beyond. Click here for a more detailed explanation of my objectives for the course.
If you have any concerns or suggestions for the course and would prefer to communicate them anonymously, you may email me by using the account ephsmath@gmail.com (the password is the first eight Fibonacci numbers, 011235813).
Looking forward to seeing you all. //Steve
PS: My wife teaches at UMass Amherst. We have two kids, Cam (he's 5) and Kayla (she's 3). Neither have TA-ed this course before, but they have TA-ed others in the past....
