Videos of Linear Programming Lectures
- Lecture 1: First Linear
Algebra Review (about 41 minutes, about 1.4Gb)
- Lecture 2: Second Linear
Algebra Review (about 58 minutes, about 1.5Gb)
- Lecture 3: First Linear
Programming Lecture: Introduction (about 58 minutes, about 2.04Gb)
- Lecture 4:
Optimization Review (about 22mins, about 770Mb): note: this is a quick
redo of the part of the lecture at Mount Holyoke that was not successfully
stored; unfortunately the video quality is low, but the audio is good and the
math being written on the board, while sadly mostly illegible, should be easy
to write down just from hearing.
- Lecture 4: Second
Linear Programming Lecture: Solving Diet Problem and Canonical Form (about
28mins, about 1Gb): note: unfortunately, the first half of the lecture was not
saved by the flip recorder and is sadly gone, and thus I quickly redid it in
my Smith office and posted it above (see the caveats there).
- Lecture 5: Third Linear
Programming Lecture: Dual Problem and Basic Solutions (about 54 minutes,
about 1.8 Gb)
- Lecture 6: Fourth
Linear Programming Lecture: From the Basics to the Simplex (about 60
minutes, about 1.8 Gb)
- Lecture 7: Fifth
Linear Programming Lecture: Phase II of the Simplex (about 58 minutes,
about 1.9 Gb)
- Lecture 8: Sixth Linear
Programming Lecture: Real versus Integer Solutions (about 57 minutes,
about 1.9 Gb)
- Lecture 9: Linearizing the non-linear:
Part 1
(about 25 minutes, about 807 Mb),
Part 2
(about 13 minutes, about 460 Mb)

Course disclaimer
- I may occasionally say things such as
`Probability is one of the most useful courses you can take' or 'If you know
probability, stats and a programming language then you'll always be able to
find employment'. I really should write `you should always be able to find
employment', as nothing is certain. Thus, please consider yourself warned
and while you may savor the thought of suing me and/or Williams College, be
advised against this! I'm saying this because of the recent lawsuit of a
graduate who was upset that she didn't have a job, and sued her school!
