A Mathematica Package


Now you can experience the excitement of triangle sequences in the comfort of your own home. Download our Mathematica Package and you will be able to do all sorts of cool triangle sequence stuff.

To use this package you must

  1. Download the Package for Mathematica version 2.2
    OR Download the Package for Mathematica version 3
    Note: You may have to select "Save As" to save the package locally on your machine.
  2. Place the file "TriangleSequences.m" in your Mathematica Working Directory.
    (You can find your Mathematica working directory by entering Directory[] in Mathematica.)
  3. In Mathematica, enter the command
    <<TriangleSequences`
  4. To get a list of commands in the package type
    ?TriangleSequences`*
  5. To get more information about a specific command type
    ?command name

This package was tested using Mathematica version 2.2 and Mathematica version 3. Other versions of Mathematica may or not be fully compatible. For more information on how to use this package, take a look at: Some Examples.

This work on Triangle Sequences was done by the 1999 SMALL Number Theory group at Williams College under the direction of Tom Garrity. The students in this group were Tegan Cheslack-Postava, Alex Diesl, Matthew Lepinski and Adam Schuyler. This work was supported by an REU grant from the National Science Foundation.
