Room of the Emperors

Known also as the Room of the Emperor, or of Caesar, because of its paintings celebrating the noble spirits of ancient leaders. Three episodes from ancient history (from the lives of Julius Caesar, Alexander the Great and Scipio) are accompanied by portraits of kings, emperors and warriors. The references to ancient leaders pay homage to Federico II's liege lord, the Emperor Charles V.
