Remembering Josh Torres '15 The Williams community and friends from near and far are invited to gather on Thursday, February 23 to celebrate the unforgettable life of Josh Torres. Members of his family and his band will join with his many circles of friends to remember his distinctive touch on all our lives at 7p.m. in CenterStage at the 62 Center. MORE: http://web.williams.edu/messages/show.php?id=41270 from Dawn M. Catelotti, Dean's Office
Message details:
From: David Eppel As Josh's friends, collaborators, fellow artists and students, and teachers, as his family and all the people he so beautifully inspired, we want to remember his unique and explosive talent, his vision, his unrelenting activism, and his unyielding determination to fight for a better world. We invite you all to join us. Our chaplain, Rick Spalding will welcome us all and be our MC. Josh's friend and fellow alum Tatum Barnes will give a eulogy. We'll also hear from members of the college community - from staff in the Deans' office to some of Josh's professors who were so moved by his wonderful sense of enquiry. The Springstreeters have agreed to honor him as well. We also invite those of you who can be here, to speak if you wish. We're collecting photographs of Josh that we will project and we hope that that if any of you have pics or videos that you'd like to include you'll send them to us. (send to Nathaniel Wiessner: nwiessne@williams.edu) In addition, if there is anything at all that you'd like to include in the evening, - a personal message if you can't be here; a story that we might relate; a piece of music we could play, an outfit you'd like to wear and some Kitty Glitter you want us to display, anything at all, please let us know and we will gratefully oblige.
