>From The New York Times, 2/2/99: DAVOS, Switzerland -- U.S. Deputy Treasury Secretary Lawrence Summers joked the other day that he had a new idea for solving the problem of Brazil's collapsing currency, the réal. He suggested the Brazilians rename their currency -- "real.com." Judging from U.S. stock markets, it would double in value every 90 days.
