Is it worth it?
Is it really worth it to have unprotected sex?
-Is the added sensation of unprotected sex worth the risk of AIDS or other illness?
-Would any person who really cares about you think less of you for wanting to be safe and healthy?
-It can happen to you! Even if you think the person looks "safe" you should know that in one study over one third of people who had an STD did not inform their current partner of this, and those that said nothing were no more likely to use a condom (Crawford and Desiderato, 1995). You can't tell by looking at someone whether they have an STD, and it only takes one time having unprotected sex to get an STD.
-College students are at more risk than the rest of the population, so your risk is just as big, if not bigger, than others.
-Being healthy is sexy. How unattractive would you find someone with an STD??? If you don't want to be someone with an STD, then you have to protect yourself.
