The Center for Workshops in the Chemical Sciences is a National Science Foundation sponsored initiative. It has been funded by the Division of Undergraduate Education, Course, Curriculum, and Laboratory Improvement, National Dissemination (CCLI-ND) program (2001-2006) and the Phase 3 program (2007-2010).

The CWCS provides a national program of workshops for teaching faculty in the chemical sciences at eligible US institutions including 2- and 4-year colleges and universities. The Center organizes these workshops on a variety of topics in locations throughout the US.

The workshops are designed to provide a background and modern perspective on key areas of the chemical sciences (broadly defined) along with methods to introduce these topics into the undergraduate curriculum. Approximately twelve workshops will be held at the consortium institutions each of the next three years. Participation (including registration and housing) is FREE.

We welcome your suggestions and comments, and we welcome proposals from those interested in presenting seminars under the auspices of CWCS

For a description of the workshops, see the CWCS workshop home site.

For a list of the Workshops being offered during the summer of 2010, see the CWCS schedule home site.
