Textbook
None required. However, the references below form a superset of the material we'll cover.
References:
- A terrific set of lecture notes and problems on point-set topology, by Ivan Khatchatourian. We won't cover all the topics in here, and the ones we will cover we'll approach in a different order. Still, this is a valuable resource.
- Topology by Munkres is a standard text, full of great material and examples.
- This website (called π-base) is an invaluable resource: a library of topological spaces that's searchable by properties.
- A list of currently open problems (in multiple areas), maintained by Stefan Steinerberger. I'm happy to discuss any of these with you!
