Homework Assignments

I advise you to do a lot more problems than this. This can take a lot of practice.

Assignment Twelve: Read Chapter 6 sections 7-9. Turn in the following problems from the text: Section 6.4 #17,27,33; Section 6.8 #1-4,6,27,43; Section 6.9 # 3,4,18,36. Due December 2 by 2pm.

Assignment Eleven: Read Chapter 6 sections 1-4. Turn in the following problems from the text: Section 6.1 #12,15,39; Section 6.2 #3,17,27; Section 6.3 #9,12,24. Due November 18 by 2pm.

No Assignment due November 11. This is the date of the second midterm exam.

Assignment Ten: Read Chapter 5 sections 6-8. Turn in the following problems from the text: Section 5.5# 1-11 odd, 26-30 even, 37; Section 5.6 # 3,4,29; Section 5.7 # 11-21 odd, 45, 51-55 odd. Due November 4 by 2pm.

Assignment Nine: Read Chapter 5 sections 2-5 (yes, reread some sections from last week). Turn in the following problems from the text: Section 5.2 # 3,7,14,27,31; Section 5.3 #1,3,11,12,21,35,37 ; Section 5.4# 5,13,21,43. Due October 29 by 2pm.

Assignment Eight: Read Chapter 4, sections 8 and 9, and Chapter 5 section 1-3. Turn in the following problems from the text: Section 4.6 # 8,18,23,35,65; Section 4.7 #5,30,41,44,47 ; Section 4.8 #5,12,24,30,52 ; Section 4.9 #6,9,18,21,30. Due October 21 by 2pm.

Assignment Seven: Read Chapter 4 sections 3-7. Turn in the following problems from the text: Section 4.3 # 1-6,13,18,29,33,45 ; Section 4.4 # 1,4,10,16,21,30; Section 4.5 # 11,12,22,30,37,44. Due Friday October 14 by 2pm.

Assignment Six: Read Chapter 4 sections 1-2. Turn in the following problems from the text: Section 3.9 # 4,5,20,27,37,; Section 4.2 # 2,10,21,23,27,35. Due Friday October 7 by 2pm.

No assignment due on September 30. This is the date of the first exam. It couldn't hurt to practice some exercises from section 3.9.

Assignment Five: Read chapter 3 sections 8 and 9. Turn in the following problems from the text: Section 3.7 # 6,12,24,50,70,78; Section 3.8 # 5,11,19,25,27,31,41,45,48,50,53,62. Due Friday September 23 by 2pm.

Assignment Four: Read chapter 3 sections 5-7. Turn in the following problems from the text: Section 3.4 # 5,14,35,41,55; Section 3.5 # 7,18,19,37,42 ; Section 3.6 # 3,11,14,22,31 . Due Friday, September 16 by 2pm.
